Does TrueClause store my legal templates?
Yes — your templates are stored securely in your private workspace. Only you and your team members can access them. You can delete your templates and all associated data at any time.
What document formats do you support?
TrueClause currently supports Word documents (.docx). This covers the vast majority of UK law firm templates. Generated documents are also delivered as .docx files, preserving all your original formatting.
Does TrueClause use AI to generate or modify my documents?
No. TrueClause does not use AI to generate, suggest, or modify legal content. It populates your existing templates with the values you provide — nothing more. What you put in is exactly what comes out. This is a deliberate design decision.
Is TrueClause UK GDPR compliant?
Yes. TrueClause is UK GDPR compliant. We process data only for the purpose of running the service.
What placeholder formats does TrueClause detect?
TrueClause detects placeholders in three common formats: double curly braces, square brackets, and single curly braces. If your templates use a different convention, we provide a simple guide to standardise them — a ten-minute one-time task per template.
How is TrueClause different from AI legal tools?
AI legal tools generate content — which means they can get clauses wrong, hallucinate terms, or produce something you would never have drafted yourself. TrueClause does not generate anything. It automates the population of templates you have already drafted and trust. Your legal judgment stays at the centre of every document.
Can I cancel at any time?
